After a long-standing collaboration with KRANTH Sarl, a Senegalese Social Enterprise that develops concepts of collecting, sharing and using drone data to drive “CHANGE”, teaming up was a natural choice based on a shared vision. The team at Senegal Flying Labs firmly believes that drone technology can open up new opportunities for government, the private sector, start-ups and development organizations that are increasingly relying on data for decision-making and strategic collaborations.
In particular, Senegal Flying Labs will focus on Agriculture and Infrastructure as its core areas of application, after having tested drones to guide authorities in their development plans and having provided robotics solutions for the inspection of Dakar’s National Olympic Swimming Pool. The technology in that case helped identify specific needs and results were used to drive decisions on repairs to be made.
The team has already trained over 150 students and has been an active advocate on drone technology for the past two years, promoting its benefit across all sectors in Senegal and more widely in Western Africa. Most of their 7-day trainings focused on piloting quadcopters and use cases for agriculture, forestry and urban planning.
Please join us in welcoming Senegal Flying Labs, supported by KRANTH Sarl, in our shared journey to make an impact with technology for social good.
