We are very pleased to announce that DroneDeploy has joined our growing network of Technology Partners. As recently reported in Forbes, DroneDeploy provides cloud-based software for drone mapping, making it possible to create aerial maps and 3D models with a single click. The company’s software automates drone flight and makes it easy to capture aerial data with a mobile app. It processes the imagery using computer vision—turning millions of images into thousands of maps and models every week. DroneDeploy offers solutions for farming, mining, construction, surveying applications and insurance companies. The company currently holds the largest drone data set in the world at over 20 million acres of land across 160 countries and all 7 continents.
We’re always keen to provide our Flying Labs with more options to support their good work, and DroneDeploy does just that. In fact, our Flying Labs in both the South Pacific and East Africa recently field tested the company’s new Live Map feature, which has important applications for disaster response. We also gave a demo of DroneDeploy to the UN this month.
We’re very grateful for DroneDeploy’s support and look forward to making greater use of their robust solutions as we continue to expand our network of Flying Labs.
