Joel Kaiser from WeRobotics recently gave a Webinar presentation on the development of this coordination model for the deployment of drones in humanitarian settings. Joel's discussion paper on the model is now available here as a Google Doc for feedback and input from the wider community. The video of the Webinar presentation is now available below.

Over the past 15 years, Joel has led humanitarian and disaster response teams in over a dozen major humanitarian catastrophes including Haiti, Myanmar, Nepal, Somalia, Iraq, Philippines, and Syria. Since 2013 these responses have involved the use of drones to improve operational decision-making, and which lead him to join WeRobotics in 2017. At WeRobotics, Joel focuses on deploying both robotics and data solutions to overcome challenges in humanitarian aid and disaster management. He holds an MA in International Development with a focus on Complex Emergencies from Simon Fraser University. Follow him on twitter @joelmyleskaiser.
