We held our first ever regional drone training in Tanzania last year and it was a huge success! We received well over 60 applications from dozens of countries including India, Swaziland, South Africa, Rwanda, Zambia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon and Zimbabwe. So we're offering our professional drone training again this year on March 12-14 in Dar es Salam in collaboration with the World Bank and the Hewlett Foundation.

Our 3-day applied course will provide you with the skills and expertise you need to safely operate fixed-wing drones for the purposes of data collection and mapping. You'll have the opportunity to train on two types of drones, the Parrot Disco and the senseFly eBee. Participants will also get hands-on training on how to process aerial imagery and create data products using the Pix4DMapper.

The training will be provided by our Tanzania Flying Labs team. They have extensive expertise in the deployment of drones for a wide range of applications including damage assessment and environmental mapping, for example. Space for the training is limited so be sure to apply soon if you're interested. The deadline to apply is February 15th. To learn more about how to apply and register, please click here. Certificates of completion will be awarded to participants who successfully complete the 3-day training.
